We make family trees differently here at Sapwood and Soot!

Trees grow in rings, with the oldest ring in the centre and younger rings on the outside. We are able to count the rings to tell the age of the tree. 

Personalize it for your Family!

• You select specific years and assign different colours to each year. 
• The tree rings matching the years you select will appear in the colours you select. 
• The font section at the bottom of your design will be colourized to match your selected colours (unfortunately at this time, our personalizer tool is unable to show a preview of the font colours to match each coloured ring).

Please note: you must complete your order in one session, you cannot close it, save it, or edit it at a later date. 

All of our personalized tree designs started as a tree cookie and were made into a hand-pressed print. Once we got a perfect hand-pressed print, we digitized it. Now that this tree ring print has been digitized, you can personalize it into your very own Family Tree. 

This family tree features our 117 year old tree ring design made using a spruce tree from Foothills region of Alberta. This tree ring print can include dates as far as back 117 years, OR, a total timespan of 117 years.
